St. Paul, the capital of Minnesota has plenty of interesting things to do for families. As cities go, particularly if you are a visitor, there are plenty of fun things to do in St. Paul

For example, consider visiting the Minnesota State Fair. There are grandstand shows with top-notch performers, amusement rides, West Indian food, London Broil Sandwiches, and the ever-popular cheese curds. It’s a Minnesota Party you won’t want to miss.

If you are just in town for a day, go downtown and visit the Science Museum of Minnesota.
A virtual mini-Smithsonian, this is an attraction that is not to be missed and the kids especially will have a blast.

Architecture is your thing? Then consider visiting the Cathedral of St. Paul. This stunning church is truly worth the trip. The current Cathedral, the fourth on its site, was built in 1915 and the architecture alone is simply fantastic.

For a history of a different type, visit Fort Snelling. Originally built in the 1800s, the fort fell into disrepair over the years but was completely rebuilt as a living historical monument and park in 1965.

Finally, for a touch of true fan experience, take in a Minnesota Wilds Hockey Game at the Xcel Energy Center. There are no bad seats in the arena and the action can be truly heart-stopping as watching a hockey game in person and watching on TV are not even in the same universe.
